Dr. Charway's journey in psychology began at Howard University in Washington D.C., where she completed her undergraduate studies. Her passion for understanding the complexities of human behavior and cognition led her to pursue a dual Ph.D. in School and Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo. This rigorous program equipped her with a diverse skill set, including proficiency in psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, consultations, and both individual and group counseling.

The foundation of Dr. Charway's practical experience was laid during her APA-accredited internship at the Fort Worth Independent School District. Here, she immersed herself in school-based assessments, crafting individual education plans, developing school-based intervention strategies, and honing her consultation skills within the educational system. Her commitment to excellence drove her to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution, where she received specialized training under the guidance of a neuropsychologist, further deepening her expertise in complex cognitive and behavioral issues.
