Karin Amador

Karin Amador, MS, LPC-Associate, NCC, is a bilingual, first-generation Latina clinician with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from A&M University-Central Texas and a BS in Neuroscience from UT Austin. She specializes in helping women and adolescents with life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, and stress and uses an integrative approach combining Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

Karin incorporates mindfulness, self-compassion, psychoeducation, and art therapy to build self-awareness, healthy boundaries, and coping skills. As an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Buffalo, MA, LPC-S, LMFT, she is committed to making therapy accessible to BIPOC individuals and addresses societal pressures, generational trauma, relationship difficulties, and perfectionism in a safe, affirming, nonjudgmental environment.
