Kim Yamas

Kim Yamas, LCSW-C, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified who specializes in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, life transitions, and a lack of meaning. She uses dreamwork alongside practical coping skills to address both symptoms and deeper meaning.

She has over two decades of experience; began in 1999 at a community mental health center; private practice since 2004. She is founder and Chief of Operations at Stone Soup Counseling and a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor for Clinical Social Work.

Her clinical viewpoint is largely informed by Jungian theory, and she employs an integrative approach informed by Jungian theory with techniques from cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based theories in a collaborative and strengths-based manner. She is not currently accepting new patients.
