About

With a compassionate heart and a wealth of experience, Kristi Longley brings hope and healing to those grappling with life's challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Kristi specializes in guiding clients through the often turbulent waters of trauma, depression, and anxiety. Her journey to becoming a therapist is as unique as her approach, having transitioned to counseling after a 20-year career that she views as invaluable training ground for her current calling.

Kristi's expertise lies in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful and efficient therapy for addressing trauma, including PTSD. This innovative approach also proves highly effective in treating chronic depression and anxiety. Through EMDR, Kristi helps clients reprocess traumatic events, working to eliminate strong negative physical and emotional responses. The goal is to transform distressing memories into manageable experiences that no longer negatively impact the individual's life.

At the core of Kristi's practice is a deep-rooted belief in the healing power of faith. She approaches counseling from a biblical perspective, recognizing God as the ultimate Healer who knows and loves each individual unconditionally. Kristi finds joy in witnessing the Holy Spirit work in her clients' hearts and minds, drawing on the wisdom and knowledge found in the Bible to address every situation.

Kristi's path to counseling was marked by personal growth and divine guidance. After dedicating two decades to a different vocation, she felt called to pursue a master's degree in counseling from Lamar University. With the support of her family and friends, Kristi completed her education and obtained her license to practice professional counseling. She views her role as a therapist as a privilege, allowing her to participate in God's work of bringing comfort and healing to those in emotional pain.

For Kristi, counseling is more than a profession—it's a passion and a calling. She embraces the opportunity to walk alongside individuals navigating difficult times, finding fulfillment in helping people process their emotional pain and trauma. Kristi's approach is gentle yet effective, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where clients feel safe to explore their deepest concerns. Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of trauma, battling persistent depression, or grappling with anxiety, Kristi Longley offers a beacon of hope and a path toward healing and restoration.
