With over a decade of dedicated service to the military community, Dr. Lori Gulley brings a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise to her psychological practice. As an Army veteran with 10 years of service, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Dr. Gulley intimately understands the challenges faced by military personnel, veterans, and their families.
Dr. Gulley's approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration and empowerment. She works closely with her clients to develop individualized treatment plans that are both evidence-based and empirically founded. By fostering an environment of trust and understanding, Dr. Gulley guides her patients through the process of learning positive coping skills, improving self-insight, and modifying thoughts and behaviors. This comprehensive approach enables clients to make meaningful changes while actively participating in their therapeutic journey.
With specializations in military stressors, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), sexual trauma, peripartum issues, life transitions, social anxiety, phobias, grief, anxiety, depression, stress management, and relationship issues, Dr. Gulley offers a wide range of expertise to address diverse mental health concerns. Her services include individual therapy for adults, both in-person and via tele-health, as well as psychological assessment and testing for diagnostic clarification and therapy assistance.
Dr. Gulley's educational background is equally impressive, holding a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grand Valley State University. Her additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) for traumatic stress, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for traumatic stress, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) further enhances her ability to provide cutting-edge, effective treatment.
