Marie Gilland

Marie Gilland, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience. She works with individuals, couples, and families and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, Narrative, Psychodynamic, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

Marie earned a master's degree from the University of Tennessee and is licensed in both Tennessee and Virginia. She has honed her skills working in a variety of non-traditional settings and serves clients from adolescents to older adults.

Her practice is strength-based, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed, offering a warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental space for partnership. Marie focuses on identifying values-driven goals, building coping skills, and supporting clients in processing feelings, increasing self-confidence, and managing anxiety, with particular experience in couples counseling.
