Marjorie Avent

Marjorie Avent, LPC-A, is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator who applies the work of Brené Brown to help clients build courage, vulnerability, and shame resilience. She blends systemic marriage and family therapy principles with clinician-focused coaching techniques.

She earned an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree from the University of South Carolina in 2007, focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy, and completed the Board Certified Coaching program at the Institute for Life Coach Training. Her earlier role as a hospital chaplain informs her spiritual and emotional support during crises.

Marjorie works with grief after a loss, unmanaged anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy. She offers a safe, nonjudgmental space and practical skills to support authentic living.
