Mary Perleoni

Dr. Mary Perleoni is a therapist who is the founder of It Begins Within Healing Center, where she works with trauma and marriage counseling. Perleoni helps people, couples, and families address mental health and relational challenges through a strengths-based approach.

Perleoni holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Central Florida. Her doctoral research focused on trauma-informed care, particularly for children in poverty. She has published articles and a dissertation on this topic.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor in Florida, Perleoni is trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman marriage therapy.
