Mary Thornsen

Mary Thornsen, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Aquinas College and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Central Michigan University.

She works with individuals and couples and helps clients with anxiety, depression, feeling stuck or confused, and specific issues. She uses Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Reality Therapy, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques to tailor treatment to each person’s needs.

Mary takes a client-led, collaborative approach, meeting clients where they are with respect and sensitivity and considering factors that impact mind, body, and spirit. She aims to provide a safe, supportive environment to help clients identify goals and next steps.
