Meg Bearman, MA, LPC/MHSP, ATR-P, is a Licensed Therapist and the Clinical Director and Founder of Meg Bearman Counseling. She specializes in using creative expression to help adult clients process and overcome complex trauma and integrates art-based interventions with traditional psychotherapy; she offers trauma intensives over 5–7 days combining psychodynamic verbal processing, trauma psycho-education, art therapy, and Brainspotting.
With an MA in Art Therapy from George Washington University, her professional experience includes adult inpatient psychiatric care, community-based family counseling, adolescent grief support in non-profit organizations, and adult residential substance abuse treatment, informing her work with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions.
Her strengths-based and integrative approach focuses on improving self-awareness, self-esteem, communication, relationships, and coping with life transitions. Based in East Nashville, she leads a team at Meg Bearman Counseling, has an affinity for working with clients in the music, arts, and creative world, and affirms LGBTQIA+ individuals.
