Melinda Sefcik

Melinda Sefcik, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in the treatment of adolescents, young adults, and families. She provides recovery-oriented psychosocial and psycho-educational rehabilitation to address a range of emotional and behavioral concerns.

Known affectionately as Lindy, she uses a person-centered approach complemented by Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to tailor care to each client’s needs. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Marist College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oneonta. In collaborative sessions she helps clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and pursue personal growth and emotional healing.
