Melissa Mistrot

Melissa Mistrot, M.S., LPC, and National Certified Counselor, brings nearly two decades of experience. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues and uses a person-centered approach drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy.

She has worked with adults and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient facilities and has particular experience in school settings with adolescents. Melissa earned her Master's Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2005.

Melissa creates an open, honest, judgment-free space, regularly checks in about the therapeutic relationship, and helps clients identify unhealthy patterns while developing effective coping mechanisms. She aims to support steady healing and personal growth through compassionate, collaborative care.
