Melissa Mistrot

Melissa Mistrot is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with nearly two decades of experience. She works with adults and adolescents, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Mistrot earned her Master's Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2005. She is board licensed in Louisiana and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Her background includes extensive work in school settings with adolescents, providing her with a broad perspective on client needs.

Using a person-centered approach, Mistrot incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy.
