As a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Board Certified Art Therapist, Molly brings over eight years of experience to her private practice in Buffalo, NY, where she offers a unique blend of creative and traditional psychotherapy approaches.

Molly's journey into the world of art therapy began with a solid foundation in psychology, culminating in a Master's degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University. In her private practice, Molly provides comprehensive psychotherapy services to a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families. Her expertise spans a wide range of mental health concerns, including trauma-related symptoms/PTSD, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, personality disorders, and adjustment issues. Molly's approach is client-centered, creating a safe and nurturing space for healing that is tailored to each individual's unique needs.

What sets Molly apart is her integration of various therapeutic modalities. She is formally trained in trauma-informed art therapy and solution-focused therapy, often incorporating techniques from mindfulness and dialectical-behavioral therapy. Perhaps most notably, Molly has completed extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a solution-focused technique known for its effectiveness in reducing trauma-related symptoms and alleviating anxiety and depression.

Molly's therapeutic toolkit also includes cognitive behavioral therapy and a strong emphasis on mindfulness practices. This eclectic approach allows her to address a wide spectrum of emotional and behavioral challenges, from women's issues and gender/identity concerns to adolescent emotional and behavioral problems.

With a commitment to fostering a safe space for healing, Molly Violante offers more than just therapy – she provides a creative journey towards self-discovery and emotional resilience.
