Niki Ellis
LPC • Licensed Professional Counselor
About
Niki Ellis, LPC, holds a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University and specializes in substance use disorders. Her clinical focus also includes anxiety, depression, PTSD, cultural and religious trauma, and serving the LGBTQ+ community.
She spent nine years at a residential dual-diagnosis treatment center in Utah, which shaped her understanding of the links between substance use and mental health. Now practicing at Green Mountain Counseling in San Antonio, she brings that residential experience to outpatient care.
Ellis’s approach is eclectic and evidence-based: she primarily employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness while also using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed practices to tailor treatment and provide practical resources for long-term well-being.
