Peter Benson

Peter Benson, MD, is a Hyperbaric Medicine physician at John Muir Health. He specializes in hyperbaric medicine and harnesses the power of pressurized oxygen to promote healing.

He practices at the Walnut Creek hyperbaric facility, which has been accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) as a Level 2 Hyperbaric Medicine Facility. Treatments are delivered in private, one-person chambers with clear plastic, allowing communication with staff.

As part of the John Muir Health Physician Network, which includes over 1,000 primary care and specialist physicians, Dr. Benson collaborates with colleagues to provide patient-centered, evidence-informed hyperbaric care.
