Richard Austin

Richard Austin, LADC, is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has worked in substance abuse counseling since 1991 and has over three decades of experience.

He facilitates group counseling and individual counseling, and conducts intakes and assessments and is proficient in medication management compliance to inform personalized treatment plans.

He spent a decade at the APT Foundation and was coordinator of First Step Detox, and he has a specialty in treating severely ill and elderly individuals with substance use disorders and diverse substance use treatment settings. His practice emphasizes addressing both the psychological and physiological aspects of addiction to support recovery.
