Satrina Artis

Satrina Artis is a therapist at Chesapeake Counseling Center. With over 18 years of clinical experience, Artis works with children, adolescents, and adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral issues. She helps clients navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth.

Artis earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Community Counseling from Norfolk State University. Her practical experience includes a practicum, internship, and residency at Western Tidewater Community Services Board, where she specialized in crisis counseling and conducted preadmission screenings for psychiatric hospitalization.

In her practice, Artis employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Clients can expect a supportive environment focused on motivation, identifying strengths, and setting achievable goals.
