Shaden Powell

Shaden Powell, PhD, LPC, MEd, MA, is a licensed professional counselor who is fluent in both Arabic and English. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MEd in Counseling and Human Development. She is specializing in trauma therapy; expertise includes anxiety, depression, and parenting issues.

With over seven years as a mental health therapist, Dr. Powell has worked as a clinical case manager and bilingual counselor. She has worked with refugee, immigrant, and low-income populations and is the founder of Austin Therapist Insight.

Her practice emphasizes inclusivity, empowerment, and client-centered collaboration to create a safe, supportive space. She focuses on fostering resilience, self-understanding, and overall well-being.
