Shawn Wellendorf

Shawn Wellendorf is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has over two decades of experience in mental health. She works with adolescents, adults, couples, and older adults, focusing on trauma, self-esteem, boundaries, and women's issues through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Wellendorf graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2000. Her career includes roles such as Family Therapist at Orchard Place and clinical team leader at Visiting Nurse Service, along with case management for chronically mentally ill adults. These experiences have enriched her understanding of diverse mental health challenges.

In addition to EMDR, Wellendorf is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy. Her approach is tailored to each client's needs, providing effective and personalized care. Clients can expect a structured and supportive environment during telehealth sessions.
