Shawn Wellendorf

Shawn Wellendorf, LISW, has over two decades of experience in mental health. She specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Focused Therapy.

She earned her MSW from the University of Iowa School of Social Work. Her experience includes eight years as a Family Therapist at Orchard Place with adolescents 13–17, nine years as a case manager for chronically mentally ill adults, and serving as a clinical team leader at Visiting Nurse Service.

She offers telehealth appointments at Mosaic Family Counseling and works with adolescents, adults, couples, and older adults on concerns such as self-realization, purpose, self-esteem, worth, boundaries, and women’s issues. Her trauma-informed, evidence-based approach tailors EMDR and other modalities to each client’s goals.
