Shawn's professional background is marked by significant roles that have shaped her expertise. For eight years, she worked as a Family Therapist at Orchard Place, focusing on adolescents aged 13-17. This experience laid a strong foundation for her work with young people and families. Additionally, Shawn spent nine years as a case manager for chronically mentally ill adults, developing a deep understanding of long-term mental health challenges. Prior to joining Mosaic Family Counseling, she served as the clinical team leader within Visiting Nurse Service's mental health department, where she provided clinical supervision, consultation, and therapy services.
At Mosaic Family Counseling, Shawn offers telehealth appointments, making her services accessible to a wide range of clients. She works with adolescents, adults, couples, and older adults, addressing issues such as self-realization, actualization, purpose, self-esteem, worth, boundaries, and women's issues. Her EMDR training is particularly valuable for clients dealing with trauma or seeking to process difficult life experiences.
When she's not helping clients, Shawn enjoys a balanced lifestyle that includes spending time with family and friends, participating in half marathons, listening to live music, cooking, and reading.
