Shayla Patron

Shayla Patron, LMFT, is RO Program Director at DBT Center of Long Beach and has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT). She completed all three levels of Radically Open DBT Training presented by Thomas R. Lynch, Ph.D.

She has worked in Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs and works with children, adolescents, and adults on anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, trauma, and borderline personality disorder. She holds certifications in Exposure Therapy in ED Treatment and Grief Counseling Specialist.

Known for cultivating a non-judgmental and compassionate space, she provides skills coaching tailored to each client's unique experiences. Her collaborative, evidence-based approach emphasizes practical skill building and specialized care for disorders of overcontrol.
