Her journey in the field of mental health began at Pace University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the same institution in 2007, becoming licensed in 2011.

For six years prior to joining Cognitive Therapy of Staten Island in 2013, Stefanie dedicated her efforts to working with homeless and formerly homeless individuals. During this time at Project Hospitality, Inc., she gained valuable experience in treating individuals with mental illness and substance use diagnoses. This experience undoubtedly broadened her clinical skills and deepened her understanding of the complex interplay between mental health, substance use, and social circumstances.
