About
Steve Jett, LPC, uses evidence-based practices with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT and works with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder medication compliance, and schizophrenia management.
His experience includes mobile crisis intervention and managing high-acuity assertive community treatment teams. He has worked in AIDS/HIV facilities, youth substance abuse programs, private practice, and church-based spiritual counseling.
He holds a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Psychology degree from Southern Illinois University, completed with honors; his undergraduate research on client expectations informs his practice. He creates a safe, non-judgmental space to support clients with PTSD, grief, identity concerns, and major life transitions.
