Susan Shackelford

Susan Shackelford, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, is the founder of Psychology & Counseling Associates, P.A., serving Northwest Arkansas since 1996 and creating a multidisciplinary clinic that serves thousands of clients throughout the region. She primarily employs cognitive behavioral techniques and specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, eating disorders, and adjustment disorders. With additional training in Imago Relationship Therapy, she is adept at working with couples and individuals struggling with family of origin issues or life transitions. Her approach is characterized by compassion, kindness, and a judicious use of humor, and her collaborative approach ensures that patients are active participants in their treatment.
