Takiyah Small

Takiyah Small, LPCC-S, is owner and clinical director of Small Behavioral Health Counseling (SBHC). She specializes in suicidal ideation, major depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, family and relationship conflicts, and behavioral challenges.

She earned an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University and is pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University. Takiyah has experience with high-risk youth and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances, maladaptive behaviors, and disruptive mood and thinking disorders.

Her practice uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Grounded in a holistic approach that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit, she builds therapeutic relationships focused on wellness, balance, and practical progress.
