Thomas Jewitt

Practicing psychiatry since 1977, Dr. Thomas Jewitt brings over four decades of experience in mental health care. A Black Hills native, Dr. Jewitt served in the U.S. Air Force from 1977–1985, concluding his active-duty service as Chief of Mental Health at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He later practiced in Alaska before returning to South Dakota in 1993, where he served for 24 years at the Black Hills VA Health Care System.

Dr. Jewitt is passionate about direct patient care across all age groups, with a holistic view that emphasizes both emotional and physical well-being. His greatest professional reward is witnessing his patients improve through compassionate, quality care.
