Trudy Seifke

Trudy Seifke, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who provides mental health support to children and adolescents in school settings. She works one-on-one and in small groups, focusing on communication skills, self-regulation, grief, and early intervention for self-harm.

Seifke works in four schools: Martin Luther King and Lincoln (middle) and Pablo Tac and Foussat (elementary), and she dedicates four days a week to students. She co-facilitates a grief group for 6th–8th graders at lunch that doubled in size, runs a weekly 5th-grade girls group addressing self-harm behaviors, and leads groups teaching self-regulatory tools for managing anger.

She created a "safe space" lunch bunch that she transitioned to student leadership and emphasizes a preventative, school-based approach that empowers youth. Seifke is approaching completion of her clinical exam for full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California.
