About
With nearly three decades of experience, Aimee Morris, LPC, LMFT, brings a wealth of expertise to her counseling practice in Tyler, Texas. Since 1993, Aimee has been dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and find effective solutions to their problems.
Aimee's approach is rooted in the belief that sometimes life can become stressful, challenging, and overwhelming. She recognizes that people often make choices to try to correct their problems, which can inadvertently make these issues even more difficult. As a neutral party, Aimee helps clients see things differently and learn more effective methods of dealing with stressors. Her role is to assist clients in recognizing patterns that have been created and guide them in a new direction.
With dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Aimee offers a comprehensive range of services. She works with individuals, couples, and families, serving a diverse age range from adolescents (12+) to the elderly. Her extensive experience covers a wide array of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, divorce recovery, life transitions, stress management, grief, and trauma recovery.
Aimee's educational background includes a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Substance Abuse from Texas Tech University, and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She maintains her professional development by earning 15 hours of continuing education annually to keep both of her licenses in good standing.
Throughout her career, Aimee has gained valuable experience in various settings, including a non-profit agency, an in-patient and out-patient psychiatric hospital, and a multi-specialty group practice. Since 2007, she has been in solo private practice, allowing her to focus on providing personalized care to her clients. This diverse background has equipped her with a broad skill set and the ability to work with different populations and cultures.
Aimee's practice is characterized by a commitment to confidentiality and personalized attention. She handles all calls personally, ensuring that clients receive direct communication and care. Whether clients are dealing with marriage problems, issues with children, extended family conflict, or individual challenges, Aimee provides a supportive environment to explore solutions and foster growth.
