Alexandra Burrel, PhD, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who practices using a person-centered approach. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education: College Counseling, both from Western Michigan University.
Dr. Burrel's counseling journey began in 2008, and her 16-year career in higher education has focused on the growth and development of students, faculty, and staff. She is Associate Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer at the University of La Verne and provides educational advising, counseling referrals, and diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting services through her Limited Liability Company, Peaces of Cake.
Her person-centered methodology creates a safe space for clients to process, unpack, set, and reach their goals. She works with individuals in private practice and through organizational consulting, supporting personal challenges, professional growth, and overall well-being.
