Amanda Jara

Amanda Jara is a Graduate Student Intern who is pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at New York University. Jara works with adults, teenagers, adolescents, and children, addressing mental health challenges such as trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and family dynamics.

Jara's educational journey includes her current studies at New York University, where she is gaining contemporary knowledge in mental health counseling. Her experience is enriched by her ability to adapt techniques to meet the specific needs of people, couples, and families.

Her therapeutic approach primarily employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, complemented by Psychodynamic orientation, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Clients can expect a non judgmental space to explore their goals, with sessions available in person or via telehealth. Jara's bilingual skills in Spanish enhance accessibility for a broader community.
