Amanda Mitzel

Amanda Mitzel, LCSW, RPT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist who works with children and families. She is trained in directive and non-directive play therapy techniques and has completed training in Child Parent Psychotherapy.

She provides care in Northwest Arkansas with experience across clinical outpatient services and preschool Therapeutic Day Treatment. Her therapeutic toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and family-centered approaches.

Amanda holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Art in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Agnes Scott College. She emphasizes creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and families can explore emotions and experiences supported by compassionate, evidence-based care.
