As a Registered Play Therapist with extensive training in both directive and non-directive play therapy techniques, Amanda has dedicated her career to helping young clients navigate their emotions and experiences in a safe, nurturing environment.

Amanda's journey in the mental health field has been marked by a commitment to serving the Northwest Arkansas (NWA) community across various settings. Her experience spans from clinical outpatient services to preschool Therapeutic Day Treatment, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of children's diverse needs. This wealth of experience allows her to tailor her approach to each unique child and family situation.

In addition to her expertise in play therapy, Amanda is well-versed in a range of evidence-based practices. She has completed training in Child Parent Psychotherapy, an approach specifically designed to support young children and their caregivers in healing from traumatic stressors. Her therapeutic toolkit also includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and family-centered approaches, enabling her to address a wide spectrum of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Amanda's educational background forms a solid foundation for her practice. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas, complemented by a Bachelor of Art in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Agnes Scott College.
