About
Amanda Rhodes, M.D., Board Certified Psychiatrist, focuses on the unique mental health needs of adults. She has a particular interest in women's mental health from pregnancy through menopause and brings that focus to adult psychiatric care.
She completed medical training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and a psychiatry residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Rhodes served three years of Active Duty Naval Service at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, where she was an attending Psychiatrist and Director of the ECT Treatment Program.
For the past nine years she has been practicing in the community as a Private Practitioner and treats depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and adult ADHD. She is committed to understanding the individual needs of each patient and tailors treatment plans to address both immediate symptoms and long-term well-being.
