Dr. Amy Ray is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. She works with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and stress management, offering individual and couples counseling. Ray's practice is informed by her diverse background, including work in the Illinois correctional system.
Ray earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University and completed her clinical internship at Hines VAMC. Her career includes serving as Chief of Mental Health and Psychiatric Services for the Illinois Department of Corrections, overseeing psychological services across more than 40 prisons.
In her therapeutic practice, Ray uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Somatic Experiencing, and Transforming Touch.
