About
With a compassionate approach and over two decades of experience, Angelica Baeza, LCSW, offers a safe and judgment-free environment for clients to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Clinical Supervisor, Angelica has honed her skills to provide integrative, strength-based therapy tailored to meet the specific goals and needs of each individual.
Angelica's therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that greater self-awareness is the key to personal growth and positive change. She works diligently to create a space where clients feel comfortable sharing their worries and upsets, fostering an atmosphere conducive to working through issues and developing deeper insights. This process, Angelica believes, is instrumental in helping clients make the changes they seek in their lives.
With a diverse educational background, including a B.A. from the University of Maine and an M.S.W. from Barry University in Miami, Angelica brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Her expertise is further enhanced by an additional Certificate in Addiction Studies from the Addictions Training Institute in Miami and full certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) from the EMDR International Association. This combination of education and specialized training allows her to offer a comprehensive approach to mental health care.
Angelica's services span a wide range, including individual and family counseling for adolescents and adults. She is also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), adding depth to her ability to assist couples in improving their relationships. Her licensure as a Qualified Clinical Supervisor speaks to her commitment to not only helping clients but also mentoring the next generation of therapists.
Originally from Mid-Coast Maine, Angelica brings a unique perspective to her practice, influenced by her upbringing and personal experiences. Outside of her professional life, she is a devoted family person, married with two children. Her interests in baking, cooking, reading, playing the French horn, hiking, and socializing with friends and family showcase a well-rounded individual who understands the importance of balance in life – a quality that undoubtedly enriches her therapeutic approach.
