Aria Kirby
MS, LPCC • Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
About
Creating a safe haven for growth, self-exploration, and healing is at the heart of Aria Kirby's therapeutic approach. As a licensed professional counselor candidate (LPCC) with a Master of Science degree, Aria views therapy as a collaborative journey where therapist and client work together to set and achieve treatment goals.
Aria's academic journey began in Southern California, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Intercultural Studies and Psychology from Biola University. She then pursued her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology, gaining valuable clinical experience during her internship at The Biola Counseling Center. This experience allowed her to work with a culturally diverse adult population, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, bereavement, grief, interpersonal challenges, and family conflict.
In her practice, Aria utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches to promote healing and personal growth. Her toolkit includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy. These modalities help clients develop self-awareness, improve emotion regulation, examine unresolved conflicts and their present-day impacts, and foster healthier relationships with themselves and others. Additionally, Aria is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, offering specialized support for clients dealing with trauma, addiction, and depression.
Aria's passion for holistic health and healing was nurtured from an early age, growing up as the daughter of chiropractic parents. This background has shaped her approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of overall well-being. She strives to engage with clients in a way that promotes not just emotional healing, but also self-awareness, self-worth, and healthy relationships.
For those seeking a therapist who combines evidence-based practices with a warm, collaborative approach, Aria Kirby offers a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion for fostering growth and healing.
