Baiqian Zhang

Baiqian Zhang is a licensed mental health counselor in New York and New Jersey. Zhang works with a variety of psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and trauma. She helps teens, adolescents, and international students, with a focus on Asian Americans facing immigration and identity issues.

Zhang earned her B.A. in Psychology from Stony Brook University and her M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Her experience spans outpatient community mental health clinics, hospitals, and university counseling centers, where she has worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families.

Using an integrative approach, Zhang employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and drama therapy. Clients can expect a creative and engaging therapeutic process, supported by her background in mindfulness and dance. She aims to create a safe space for exploration and personal growth.
