Cara Neilsen

Cara Neilsen, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who emphasizes whole person health and brings over a decade of experience. She centers care on the interplay of mental and physical well-being to help clients improve overall quality of life.

She treats anxiety, depression, stress, career obstacles, parenting challenges, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. She uses CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness to tailor interventions to each client's needs.

Cara has worked in community mental health agencies, non-profit foundations, and the NYC school system. She offers an individualized, holistic, trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered approach in a nonjudgmental, collaborative environment to support clients' well-being.
