Caren Heilman

Caren Heilman, MS, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of specialized experience helping children, adolescents, young adults, and their families navigate the complex emotional landscape of childhood cancer diagnoses. She earned her Masters of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007.

Caren spent more than ten years at Dell Children's Hospital, developing expertise in crisis management, trauma-informed care, and family systems therapy. She practices at Westlake Psychotherapy of Austin, applying pediatric oncology insights to support families and other clients facing serious illness.

Her approach is family-centered and trauma-informed, focused on creating a safe, nurturing space for children and caregivers to process diagnosis, treatment, and related stressors.
