Carolyn Stypka

Carolyn Stypka, LCSW, CYT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who combines talk therapy with movement and creative arts as a Certified Yoga Teacher to support body–mind connection.

Her 12-year journey in mental health includes work in schools, educational centers, churches, hospitals, community health centers, and crisis interventions, and she treats anxiety, trauma, grief/bereavement, coming of age issues, depression, end of life concerns, health-related challenges, unexplained anger or discomfort, and self-harm.

Graduate of UIC's Jane Addams School of Social Work, she works with adults, adolescents, children (8 years and older), and members of the LGBTQ community. Her approach is strength-based, empowering, grounding, and calming; she emphasizes client choice—"Movements are always your choice in session"—and offers client-centered paths to healing.
