Carolyn Stypka

Carolyn Stypka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Yoga Teacher offering a holistic approach to mental health care. Stypka works with adults, adolescents, children (8 years and older), and members of the LGBTQ community, addressing anxiety, trauma, grief, and depression.

Stypka's 12-year journey in mental health has included roles in schools, educational centers, churches, hospitals, community health centers, and crisis interventions. She graduated from UIC's Jane Addams School of Social Work and integrates her background in studio arts to enhance therapeutic sessions with creative expression.

Her approach is strength based, grounding, and calming, incorporating talk therapy, movement, and creative arts. Clients can expect a client centered environment where physical movements complement traditional therapy, offering alternative pathways to emotional exploration. Sessions provide a supportive space for self-discovery and growth.
