Cheryl Tien

Cheryl Tien, Psy.D., Psychological Associate, draws on her perspective as a daughter of Chinese-Vietnamese immigrants and over a decade of experience in clinical, academic, and administrative roles in healthcare. She integrates a culturally-responsive and trauma-informed lens to therapy.

Her specialties encompass trauma (discrimination, generational, developmental, acquired, complex, and sexual), relationship issues, life transitions, and adjustment to medical diagnoses, and she offers specialized support in addiction and psychedelic integration. She has ongoing training in psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Dr. Tien is deeply engaged in community mental health, offering workshops and services, with a focus on BIPOC mental health and Asian mental health; she also addresses LGBTQ+ issues, polyamory, and gender diversity. Her work is characterized by warmth, compassion, and a touch of humor as she supports clients in culturally nuanced care.
