About
Christina McKay, MSCP, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of dedicated service to youth and families. She specializes in child therapy using play therapy, talk therapy, art therapy, and narrative therapy, and is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Child Maltreatment.
Christina works with struggling teens and parents, including single parents, adoptive parents, and those working toward reunification, and has experience with traumatized and at-risk youth and parents struggling with substance dependence. Her work is rooted in family systems therapy and attachment theory and uses a trauma-informed, mindfulness-based methodology. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University and is pursuing doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology.
