Deedra Everett

Creating a safe and healing space for growth and exploration is at the heart of Deedra Everett's therapeutic approach. As a Supervisee in Social Work at Wise Family Wellness, Deedra is dedicated to helping clients compassionately explore their inner worlds, develop coping skills, and work through trauma.

Deedra's practice is informed by a blend of relational, psychodynamic, expressive, attachment-based, and family systems approaches. She recognizes play as the language children use to express and process experiences and big emotions, incorporating this understanding into her work with younger clients.

With experience working with families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, Deedra is committed to cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and affirmation in her practice. This multicultural competence allows her to create a welcoming environment for clients of all backgrounds.

Deedra holds a Bachelor's degree from Seattle University and a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently pursuing clinical licensure and play therapy training, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development and expanding her therapeutic toolkit.

Outside of her professional life, Deedra resides in Alexandria with her husband, daughter, and a Chiweenie rescue. Her personal interests, including reading, painting, and spending time with family, inform her holistic approach to well-being and balance in life.
