About

Inspired by her own transformative counseling experience, Emily Bond embarked on a journey to become a therapist, driven by a deep appreciation for the therapeutic process and the powerful connections it fosters. This personal insight forms the foundation of her approach, allowing her to empathize with clients as they navigate their own paths to healing and growth.

Emily Bond is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her graduate degree in counseling from Vanderbilt University in 2005. Her professional journey began at Centerstone, a not-for-profit mental health and substance treatment center, where she gained invaluable experience working with adults suffering from severe depression and mental illness. This intensive work, sometimes involving cases requiring hospitalization, solidified her belief in counseling's power to untangle the mind and inspire new paths forward.

In 2012, Emily took the significant step of opening her own private practice, where she continues to apply her expertise and compassionate approach. Her practice focuses on individual adult therapy, with a particular specialty in grief and loss therapy. Emily's childhood experiences have uniquely positioned her to recognize coping mechanisms and identify crisis points in her clients' lives. She has a keen understanding of how inherited or learned family traits can significantly influence one's worldview, relationship patterns, and overall sense of peace and empowerment.

Emily's therapeutic approach is informed by her professional training and personal insights. She recognizes the profound impact that childhood experiences, including losses and traumas, can have on adult life. This understanding allows her to guide clients through the complex process of healing from grief, whether it stems from a death or from childhood experiences that continue to resonate in adulthood.

As a member of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute (NPI), American Counseling Association (ACA), and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), Emily stays connected with the latest developments in her field. She brings this knowledge to her practice, ensuring that her clients benefit from current, evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Emily Bond's practice is more than just a professional endeavor; it's a calling born from personal experience and nurtured through years of dedicated study and practice. Her goal is to help clients navigate the difficulties of life, untangle complex emotions, and find new paths forward. With Emily, therapy is a collaborative journey towards understanding, healing, and empowerment.
