Eric Athearn

Eric Athearn, MACP, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 24 years of experience in behavioral health. He works with adults, adolescents, children, and families across outpatient, hospital, community-based, and residential settings.

For 14 years he has served as a Mental Health Evaluator in the Emergency Departments at Baptist Downtown and Wolfson Children's Hospital, and he has maintained a private practice with Volland and Associates, Inc. for 11 years. These roles reflect experience in both high-pressure clinical settings and ongoing individualized care.

He prioritizes creating an environment of safety and trust and meets clients where they are to establish a genuine therapeutic alliance.
