Gabe Gonzalez

Gabe Gonzalez is a Counseling Associate who works with clients ranging from adolescents to seniors, addressing mental health concerns such as ADD/ADHD, anger management, anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD. Gonzalez integrates art therapy techniques to provide a holistic approach to mental wellness.

Gonzalez is pursuing his Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Illinois University, where he also earned his BA in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. His practicum at the NIU Community Counseling Training Center since Fall 2023 has refined his ability to offer empathetic, effective care.

Gonzalez employs evidence based methods including CBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and strengths-based techniques. Clients can expect a supportive therapeutic environment that incorporates play and existential therapy. His approach is tailored to meet clients where they are, facilitating personal growth and progress.
