Gary McDaniel

Gary McDaniel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor at Atlas Psychiatry. With nearly three decades of experience, McDaniel works with children and families, focusing on trauma recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.

McDaniel earned his bachelor's of fine arts and master's of social work degrees from West Virginia University. He also contributed to the academic community as an adjunct faculty member for 20 years, teaching clinical social work courses at the same institution. His accolades include being named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers WV chapter.

Utilizing modalities such as EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and client centered Therapy, McDaniel offers individual, family, and group therapy. Clients can expect a compassionate environment where they develop skills for emotional regulation and affect management, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being.
