Gary McDaniel

Gary McDaniel, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor at Atlas Psychiatry with nearly three decades of professional social work experience. He was named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers WV chapter.

He is trained in EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Intensive Trauma Recovery (ITR) to treat trauma, anxiety, and mood disorders. He provides individual, family, and group therapy.

He spent 20 years teaching clinical social work in West Virginia University's graduate social work program; he holds a master's of social work from West Virginia University. His patient, results-oriented approach emphasizes attachment, emotional regulation, and affect management while exploring spirituality.
