With nearly three decades of professional social work experience, Gary McDaniel, LCSW, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor at Atlas Psychiatry. Recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field, Gary has been named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers WV chapter and has received accolades for his work in child abuse prevention, violence prevention, and his impactful efforts with children and families in schools.

Gary's approach to therapy is both comprehensive and client-centered, drawing from a diverse range of psychotherapeutic modalities. His extensive training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Intensive Trauma Recovery (ITR), Gestalt Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Psychodrama, and Psychomotor modalities. This eclectic skill set allows him to tailor his approach to each client's unique needs, particularly in the areas of trauma recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.
