Irina Ashamalla

Irina Ashamalla, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and Mental Health. She earned her MSN degree and holds dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

She has been Practice Manager at Notre Dame Behavioral Health since 2013 while continuing clinical care. Her dual certification enables her to bridge family medicine and mental health, providing coordinated care for patients with intersecting physical and psychiatric needs.

Her integrative perspective addresses the interplay between physical and mental health and guides development of comprehensive treatment plans. She balances managerial responsibilities with clinical practice to remain connected to direct patient care and whole-person outcomes.
