Jennifer Phelps

Jennifer Phelps is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in helping people and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Phelps works with people exploring identity needs and those new or hesitant about therapy.

Born and raised in San Diego, Phelps graduated from UCSD with a major in Visual Art in 1999. She initially pursued an artistic career at the university before transitioning to mental health. She earned a Mental Health Aid/Advocate Certificate and completed a Master's in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University.

Phelps employs Art Therapy, Family-Systems, Dialectical Behavioral, and Person-Centered approaches. Her experience includes working with schizophrenia and addiction, enhancing her ability to address complex challenges. Clients can expect a welcoming and comfortable space, supported by her sense of humor and down-to-earth attitude.
