Jill Dickey
ACMHC • Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
About
Life's challenges can be overwhelming, but with the right support and guidance, personal and relational growth is more than possible. This philosophy drives Jill Dickey's approach as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor, specializing in couples/marriage therapy, young adults, and teens. With a passion for providing invaluable support to individuals, couples, and families, Jill implements a trauma-informed, integrative therapeutic approach to treatment.
Jill's expertise spans a wide range of modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Lifespan Integration. These evidence-based techniques allow her to effectively treat depression, anxiety (with a particular focus on OCD and scrupulosity), anger, grief, self-esteem issues, food challenges, body acceptance, and religious/faith challenges. Her diverse skill set enables her to tailor treatment plans to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
Particularly passionate about relational and sexual health, Jill utilizes a Relational Life Therapy approach to help couples and families navigate the often-difficult realities of intimate relationships. This specialized focus allows her to address the complex dynamics that arise in partnerships and family units, fostering healthier communication and deeper connections.
Jill's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University, reflecting her love for teaching. Building on this foundation, she pursued her true calling in mental health, earning her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Utah Valley University. Currently working toward full licensure under the supervision of Brandi Hess, LMFT, Jill combines her educational background with her counseling skills to provide comprehensive care to her clients.
When not working with clients, Jill finds joy in nature, especially hiking in the mountains. She also enjoys playing card games, reading, and experimenting with new recipes. These personal interests not only contribute to her own well-being but also inform her holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of balance and self-care in mental health. Jill's ultimate goal is to help her clients become the best versions of themselves, guiding them through life's challenges with compassion, expertise, and a commitment to growth.
