Dr. Joel Shuy is a licensed psychologist who offers individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults starting from age 13. Shuy works with people experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, life changes, and relationship issues. He also conducts psychological testing and neuropsychological screenings.
Shuy earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and completed his Master's and Doctor of Psychology degrees at the Florida Institute of Technology. His predoctoral internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School provided him with a broad clinical perspective and experience with diverse populations.
Shuy employs cognitive behavioral therapy and an understanding of interpersonal dynamics in his integrative approach. Clients can expect personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs. His practice aims to address both symptoms and overall mental health, helping clients build resilience.
