Kat Chen, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with individuals aged 16 and up. She centers cultural sensitivity and brings a humanistic and relational perspective to collaborative, empowering therapeutic relationships, especially for clients from underrepresented backgrounds.

She uses evidence-based approaches — including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mindfulness — to address BIPOC/immigrant/refugees, life transitions, ADHD, school stress/career development, social anxiety, depression/anxiety, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, and trauma.

With a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Seattle University and a B.A. in English Literature from UW, Kats experience spans King County, medical clinics, hospitals, foster care, schools, and community health centers. As a neurodivergent, Asian female social worker/therapist, she emphasizes psychoeducation and skills and tailors care to clients cultural contexts and goals.
